About PayFigured

Understand your pay before you make a decision.

PayFigured is a free UK earnings dashboard, with take-home pay, salary comparison and national and regional benchmarks. It separates estimated spendable cash from pension contributions, so a larger headline salary does not hide the trade-off.

What You Can Do

Independent and Limited by Design

The calculation model uses published government rules. It is not affiliated with HMRC, another salary calculator, a pension provider or a recruiter. The public beta has automated checks but has not been professionally certified or reviewed by a payroll practitioner.

One employment for the full year, 12 regular monthly pay periods, Category A employee National Insurance and employment income only. Choose no pension, the auto-enrolment preset on qualifying earnings, or custom percentages on full reference salary. Pension tax treatment can be net pay or salary sacrifice. Figures exclude bonuses, irregular pay, other income, benefits, custom tax codes, relief-at-source pensions, childcare, pension tax charges and loan payoff timing. Auto-enrolment eligibility is not assessed.

Your Salary in Context

The earnings chart and regional map compare annual gross salary with published Office for National Statistics (ONS) Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings figures. The benchmark is 2025 provisional, for full-time employee jobs. It is historical survey data, not a live ranking of everyone in the UK.

Choose the UK or a workplace region to change the chart's benchmark, median and published percentile bands. Where published data meet our quality checks, high-earner bands extend to the top 1%. Some regional estimates are too uncertain or lack quality information, so the dashboard shows a broader band instead of inventing a finer rank.

Regional selection does not change your Income Tax jurisdiction. Comparisons do not adjust for occupation, working hours, inflation or living costs, and are not a judgement of what a particular job should pay.

The Benchmark in Brief

In the ONS ASHE 2025 provisional full-time employee-job figures, the UK median annual gross earnings are £39,039. The top-10%, top-5% and top-1% thresholds are £76,903, £99,387 and £186,840 respectively. These are historical gross-earnings estimates for the tax year ending 5 April 2025, not take-home pay or a ranking of every UK resident.

Read the UK salary percentile guide, check London's different thresholds and quality limits, or compare all 12 workplace regions. The high-earner figures come from ONS release 3105; the full sources and sampling limitations are set out below and in the methodology.

Publication and Checks

Published by PayFigured, operated by ELENOVO HOLDINGS LTD. Earnings sources and this explanation were checked on 17 October 2026. The dashboard and earnings guides use the same versioned ONS dataset; automated tests check calculation examples, published thresholds and generated tables. The review date records a substantive check, not an automatic daily refresh.

These checks are not independent professional certification or a claim of expert review. A release can pass automated tests and still contain a mistake. Report a correction with a fictional example. We do not need your payslip or personal financial documents.
